Conformal Coat Removal
Foresite has developed various methods for effectively removing conformal coatings from PCBAs.
Each client project is customized, taking into consideration the type of coating, which removal chemistry will be most effective, and if heating and/or agitation is necessary. After the coating has been removed, the boards are cleaned and ready for reprocessing/rework at the client facility.
Our Capabilities
We have the ability to remove coating from select areas of the board or the total board, depending upon the situation. For select areas, we use a micro-abrasive blasting process, pinpointing the specific removal area. For total board coat removal, depending upon the type of coating, a chemistry is selected and a process developed to maintain the integrity of the product.
